Press Release

Moeller Fine Art New York — Berlin is pleased to announce its participation in the VIP Art Fair, to take place exclusively online for one week from January 22 - 30, 2011 at vipartfair.com.

VIP Art Fair is the first art fair to mobilize the collective force of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries with the unlimited reach of the Internet. An unprecedented event, VIP Art Fair gives contemporary art collectors access to artworks by critically acclaimed artists and the ability to connect one-on-one with internationally renowned dealers—from anywhere in the world and without leaving home.

Moeller Fine Art will exhibit paintings, drawings, and sculpture by 20th century masters alongside works by contemporary artists. A rare collage by Italian Futurist Giacomo Balla (1871-1958), Linea di velocità e paesaggio c. 1915, and an iconic sculpture by the artist, Linee - forza del pugno di Boccioni II 1915/1966, will be shown with paintings by Piero Dorazio (1927-2005), who was greatly influenced by the preceding generation of Futurists. Works by Appropriation and Pop artists Clive Barker (b. 1940), Richard Pettibone (b. 1938), André Raffray (1925-2010), and Tom Wesselmann (1931-2004), will be shown next to the Bilboquet 1910, the first Readymade by Marcel Duchamp (1887-1968), as well as the famous double-exposure portrait of the artist. Also on display will be works by Lothar Osterburg (b. 1961), the acknowledged master of contemporary photogravure, who has restaged the Imaginary Prisons of Giovanni Battista Piranesi. Other artists include Arshile Gorky (1904-1948) George Grosz (1893-1959), David Hockney (b. 1937), Simon Norfolk (b. 1963), and Pablo Picasso (1881-1973).

To coincide with this year’s Lyonel Feininger Retrospective at the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Mark Tobey Retrospective at the Addison Gallery of American Art (Phillips Academy Andover), Moeller Fine Art will also exhibit a selection of important paintings by Lyonel Feininger (1871-1956) and Mark Tobey (1890-1976).

Moeller Fine Art New York – Berlin is pleased to join early on what is sure to be the next logical step for art galleries in this increasingly global and quickly changing market.”
